Tell us what you want to make…
Our core strength in plastic parts production is that we have over 50 years’ experience in knowing if a product can be made as the customer wants it, or if the product needs re designing to fit the all-important criteria of being able to be made and full time stress free production. Taking those issues into place we can very quickly give you a budget price for design, prototype tooling costs, lead times and full production cost of tooling including minimum orders levels.
Let’s do you a design…
Designing today is a very exact science, with 3D modelling, 3D product printing enabling all parts to seemingly be fully functional before any production tooling costs are invested, that’s what product designers will tell you. However there are areas that still need extra professional skill and advice. TG Plastics Ltd consult with you to establish the important criteria beyond product design, can it be made in a cost effect way, will it need any after production work, how many parts do you need per year, what cost structure do you need to take your product to market. Yes we will design your product but we also design your production.
Let’s build the tool…
Toolmaking today has developed from a local source to a truly international buyers’ market, however there are many pitfalls and you really need to be careful and knowledgeable before letting your important project be manufactured overseas. Do not be blinded by the initial cost you are given, my Dad always bought the finest well-built product he could, when asked about this he said “we were too poor to buy cheap”. Not always but in general toolmakers who make your tool and then give it to you for production elsewhere, need to make all of their profit from the manufacture of your tool, whereas TG Plastics Ltd takes the long term view, we need to make a tool that is going to give the customer a great product but be trouble free on our production line, which in turn guarantees you the best possible engineered tool. This in turn cuts down on future expensive repairs due to inexpensive steel being used or solid profile design that will not allow for easy repairs.
Let’s start manufacturing…
Before you get to this area, you will have had extensive hands on involvement and interaction of all the steps creating your part, how we take over. Manufacturing is not the end of the line, it is the beginning of your business and for that you will want first class injection moulding machinery, in-line quality control, first class logistics and a product delivered on time everytime. TG Plastics Ltd will do that, we do that every day for the largest tumble drier manufacturer in Europe, if we don’t get his parts manufactured and delivered on time every day his production line stops and we have been doing this with them since the mid 1960’s when the Beatles were singing a “Hard days night” which is what 24hr production is like and we love it!
